Hi! My name is Mercedes. I'm a Product Designer based in Berlin, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina🧉🇦🇷 I've been working as a Product/UX Designer for the past seven years in the public and private sectors. I'm currently a Senior Product Designer at OLX Group, where I support two Monetizations packs from the Pay&Ship pillar to develop products targeted to our sellers and buyer from our main markets Poland, Romania, and Ukraine. Before moving to Berlin, I worked at Mercado Libre, the biggest e-commerce company in Latinamerica.
I'm currently working on the Pay&Ship pillar as a Senior Product Designer. In this pillar, I'm supporting two Monetization teams, defining and designing solutions targeted to sellers and buyers of OLX. Before working with the Monetization teams, I worked with the Buyer Loyalty team, where we designed experiments to validate our hypothesis. This process was part of the discovery phase before developing the MVP. In my current role, I'm involved in the end-to-end design, development, and implementation process. I am also part of the OKRs process alongside the product and dev team.
I was part of the UX team of shipping in Mercado Libre. I led the design definitions of internal digital products that help our users to process hundreds of thousands of daily packages across our facilities, provide on-route support to our drivers to deliver all the shipments on time, and improve the efficiency of our routes planning. Our goal was to grow and scale our shipping logistics network. In my daily work, I had to analyze the different contexts and particularities of every country where we operate and our users who work in the logistic network. Defining short and mid-term goals. I worked on an interdisciplinary team along with research, content, product, and development teams.
Worked in the buyer’s experience team of Mercado Envios, where I analyzed and designed different initiatives focused on improving the experience of our buyers across the different states of the shipment delivery process. Also in that time, I had the opportunity and challenge of being part of the lead design team in charge of Mercado Envio’s logistic network inception.
Worked in an interdisciplinary team, I designed the user experience and interfaces of the products that the Ministry developed. For high-visibility products, like Argentina's National Open Data Portal, I also participated in the product design process.
Worked in the development team of the laboratory and designed prototypes and solutions to different problems of the city. I also designed a few data visualizations, to help promote the use of open data published by the Government of Buenos Aires.
